Find router IP address

To find out your router IP address you can perform steps listed below:

Windows Operating System

  1. Click Windows “Start” button
  2. Start menu will open.
  3. Look for the search field in the Start menu an type “cmd” or “command prompt” in it.
  4. From the list of choices select “Command” and click on it.
  5. Command prompt window will open.
  6. Enter “ipconfig /all” command and press Enter.
  7. This command will produce text output about your network. To get your default IP address look for the “Default Gateway” IP address.

OS X

  1. In the bottom menu click on Launchpad
  2. In the search bar type “terminal”
  3. In the list below click on “terminal”
  4. You should see terminal window open. Type “netstat -nr | grep default” in it and press enter.
  5. IP address of your router will be next to the “default” text
